Overview:

The R&D team is seeking a talented Lead Software Engineer, Full Stack. This is a high impact role where you will be delivering world-class, customer-focused solutions as part of a leading cloud software company for higher education. We are looking for a hands-on individual to be an integral part of the design, build out and adoption of an exciting new SaaS, cloud-based higher education solution focusing on the student experience.

Working closely with product architects and product management you will be working on a new technology project involving the design and creation of a new product.

Where you will make an impact

  • Participating in the design, development, and delivery of new solutions for the next generation of Higher Education products.
  • Providing technical leadership in the analysis and review of proposed system features and integration, security, scalability and performance requirements with users, Analysts, Architects, and other team members
  • You will be involved in the development methodologies, design and testing automation, best practices and procedures.

What you will bring

  • 6+ years’ experience developing applications using NodeJS in a software product company.
  • Strong experience with ReactJS or another modern JavaScript frameworks.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools.
  • Experience in technically leading a team of Software Engineers or experience in mentoring/coaching other developers.
  • Experience in AWS and Serverless a plus
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment
  • Solid fundamentals on Object-Oriented Design, Patterns and Data Structures
  • Experience with design and development of highly available, distributed, and scalable transactional enterprise systems.
  • A self-motivated and innovative mindset with a passion for learning new technology.
